If you have experienced a lazy throttle on acceleration then the main issue is a poor air, fuel ration (AFR). The standard 52mm diameter throttle body is restrictive and can only let in a certain volume of air to mix with the fuel. Increasing the size of the body will dramatically improve response as a greater volume of air can be allowed into the throttle body.
The Throttle body is machined to allow much better fueling, essential if you are having your car mapped as it allows a greater increase in BHP due to larger fuel air mixtures when compared to the restrictions that the stock throttle body diameter causes.
Noticeable changes in throttle response are often helped by installing a larger throttle body and are essenstial if you have carried out a large amount of engine mods to the vehicle.
Kav motorsport have seen increases such as 10 BHP and 12nm of torque possible from this modification which will add to the over all power gains that can be obtained.
