The increased size +5% BMW mini alternator pulley form kav motorsport for the R53 cooper S helps to extend the life of your alternator after fitting such modifications as the Kav Motorsport reduced size super charger Pulley and the Kav motorsport enlarged crank pulley.
The pulley prevents the alternator from being span too quickly reducing the life span of the alternator. It also helps to reduced the amount of stress applied to the belt causing it to wear and affect the BHP figures. The +5% pulley is manufactured from mild steel and has a galvanized surface finish to protect it form the elements.
If you want to use your standard size OEM belt but run a reduced size super charger pulley From 11% - 15% then the +5% alternator pulley will allow you do do this.
