The R56 Cooper S FORGE INTERCOOLER
The Forge intercooler for the generation two BMW mini turbo will fit all models 2007 onwards, R56 and R57. The Forge Intercooler is much more efficient when compared to the stock OEM bmw mini intercooler. The main aim of an intercooler is too cool as much air as possible allowing a much denser charge mix to enter the combustion chamber resulting in an increase in power.
Therefore the large the intercooler the more power that is made available to be burnt in the combustion chamber.
Even when your mini is driven at low road speeds the air velocities the Forge intercooler so efficiently in comparison to the OEM unit, temperatures of nine degrees difference have been achieved and when driving your mini on the track even greater reductions in temperature can be achieved.
The forge intercooler comes with all the mountings required and a replacement lower grill to allow ease of installation and maximize air flow to the intercooler.
Please note: The grill that is sent in the kit has been designed to fit behind the standard Cooper S front bumper, allowing clearance for the intercooler. If an alternative aftermarket front bumper has been installed, e.g. the JCW front bumper, the intercooler will still fit, but the grille will have to be modified by the customer.
