If you are looking for more power, greater air flow and a much more responsive throttle, then the STAGE 3 hybrid turbo upgrade for the R56 cooper s turbo N14 and N18 is for you. With the far superior 7 blade compressor wheel the turbo will spool much quicker than the stock OEM and JCW mini turbos.
Current trends are seeing the use of 11 and 12 Blade compressor wheels but these wheels actually require ported shroud covers for them to work correctly. The borg warner turbos do not use ported shroud covers, hence the 11 and 12 blade compressor wheels are wasted.
Our Hybrid turbo has been specifically designed to ensure the very most in terms of performance and throttle response as well as making vast performance in the mid and top range.
When combined with a Re map the hybrid turbo can open up some of the power potential that the R56 has to offer.
With a high flow cat and exhaust the power form the R56 can really come into its own allowing increased air into the engine along with exiting gasses flowing as freely as possible.
The STAGE 3 hybrid turbo combined with opening up the intake restriction within the cylinder head, a good valve job, exhaust system and re-map has seen over 350BHP at the wheel.
